Bryn Mawr Racquet Club Company Information
General information
Delaware Valley Tennis Academy was organized and formed as a by-product of the famous Nick Bollettieri Academy in Florida. The original owner was a Director of Tennis for Nick Bollettieri in the late '70s and started DVTA in Wayne, Pennsylvania thereafter. Over the years, DVTA has worked with many nationally and sectionally ranked juniors. Two DVTA students, David DiLucia and Michael Lang, were ranked in the top 5 nationally. Many had advanced to respectable Division I and Division III colleges such as: University of Notre Dame, Duke University, University of Georgia, University of North Carolina-Charlotte, University of Richmond, Franklin and Marshall, Penn State University, Haverford College, Kenyon College and Trinity College, to name a few. Some obtained scholarships to Division I schools, and David DiLucia was victorious in his pursuit of the Men's NCAA singles title in 1992 and eventually turned professional after graduating. Michael Lang was ranked #1 in the US while in Boys 14s and 16s. His team at University of Georgia won the NCAA's in 2001. Michael transferred to University of Miami where he played the #1 singles position for 2 years.
