Open since October of 1990, The Dakota has been a pioneer in the culinary industry on the Northshore of Lake Pontchartrain.
Our cuisine is influenced by the flavorful Creole cuisine, with Contemporary Louisiana; with influences of the Southwest, California, and Asia on the foods of Louisiana using fresh local and seasonal ingredients. Signature dishes include Lump Crabmeat and Brie Soup, Seafood Stuffed Soft Shell Crab, Duck and Waffles, Coconut Cake with Creme Anglaise.
The carefully selected wines pay tribute to the well-crafted wines of the US while offering traditional stylings Europe and Australia.
