Tucked away just 3 km outside Bergville on the R74, Northern Drakensberg, with views of the surrounding Berg you will experience tranquility, relaxation and a home-away-from-home that
offers outstanding service in a charmingly authentic setting.
1 ½ hour drive from Durban and 3 ½ hour drive from Johannesburg, you will find Bingelela.

With a sparkling clear swimming pool, play area, trampoline, jungle gym and swings, 10 spacious en-suite bungalows and two self-catering chalets, sleeping up to 34 guests, Bingelela is also ideal venue
for family reunions, group functions and team-building groups.

All of our rooms are tastefully decorated with crisp white percale linen, each with their own unique character.

Our en-suite bungalows are fully equipped with an en-suite shower / bathroom, air conditioning, compact DSTV, tea/coffee making facilities, electric blankets and hairdryers. Five of which have a fireplace for those cold winter months. One of these bungalows has a spa bath nestled in the lounge area next to the fireplace and a double bed in an upstairs loft, ideal for honeymooners of for those wishing to indulge in a relaxing break.

The self-catering pre-fab houses are two bedroomed, decorated tastefully with percale white linen and ethnic notes, one room with a double bed and a two single beds in the other room. They both have an open plan kitchen, fully equipped with cutlery, crockery, a fridge, microwave, kettle as well as gas stoves / oven. Opening out from the kitchen is a cozy living room area, with a compact DSTV and a verandah outside with a braai, ideal for an afternoon get together overlooking the farm. Both have air conditioning, electric blankets and hairdryers.

Bingelela is the ideal base camp for guest who wants to explore the diverse attractions that the Northern Drakensberg has to offer, from quad biking, zip lines, king swings, river rafting for the thrill seekers to horse riding, mountain biking, hiking and bird watching for the nature lovers. And for those wanting a more scenic view of the Northern Drakensberg wonders helicopter flips and hot air ballooning are a short ‘lift’ away.

Bingelela treats you to breakfast and a full a-la-carte menu at their contemporary restaurant and pizzeria on the premises, offering original recipes on a creative menu from the very traditional to the new and exciting for guests throughout their stay.

by the Joubert family and equally devoted staff members for 17 years.
