Naturopathic medicine is a distinct system of healthcare that addresses the root cause of illness and dysfunction using natural and non-invasive therapies. It is a comprehensive approach that treats the "whole person" and utilizes individualized protocols that take into account each person's unique physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and environmental aspects.
Dr. Faryal Luhar is a licenced Naturopathic Doctor both in Canada (inactive 2016) and South Africa. She is passionate about educating and empowering her patients to stimulate their body's innate healing capacity. She engages in community health events and delivers lectures regularly.
Faryal has been featured on local and national radio shows in SA and currently is a part-time lecturer at the College of Natural Health in Durban, SA.
Dr. Luhar has also been active in promoting and delivering Naturopathic Medical care to underserviced populations. She has worked with organizations in humanitarian projects in the Dominican Republic and Guatemala and aspires to do the same in Africa.
