General information
In 1971 the Lerakis family decided to create one of the first avocado groves in Crete (Chania). The mild subtropical climate of the Cretan land and the particular characteristics of the area made that grove successful. The annual production of the grove is more than 5 tonnes per year and is used as the basic ingredient of our products.
Forty-three years later (and after three years of research), Avoel developed a product line based on fresh avocado, giving to the consumers all the beneficial elements of the fresh pulp in a variety of flavors following the Cretan – Mediterranean Diet. Avoel products can replace food products based on powders, artificial colors and saturated animal fat.
