Little Angelz Day Nursery originally opened as crèche part of an alternative education provision that aimed at giving education and qualifications to Young People not in education, training or employment.
Unfortunately there were issues in the management and behaviour of the young people so the college closed and so did the crèche. However there were still issues until finally, in August 2014 all staff was changed. A new manager is now in place and none of the old staff are employed. all our staff were employed after August 2014, they all hold suitable qualifications and attend all latest trainings, all staff follow Ofsted guidance and put the children at the very centre of all activities in the nursery.
In August 2015 Ofsted inspected us and found that: 'children make very good progress. Staff have an extremely strong understanding of how children learn. They have high expectations of the children and plan activities and experiences that are high relevant to the children's needs". "Children are confident and very happy. New babies settle well with unfamiliar adults because of the close comfort given to them. Older children have warm trusting relationships with staff. They start conversations, seek support, ask questions and spontaneously go to staff for hugs". Ofsted also found "Staff are exceptionally good at talking to children and asking questions. They skilfully provide children with new information. They ask questions that challenge children to work things out for themselves or test their understanding and allow children time to think before they respond".
We aim at providing Leicester with a five star service. Our food is cooked daily in our premises, we have refurbished rooms and a secluded outdoor area that our children use daily. We take our children out and about in the city to gain new experiences and to the park to create a good relationship with nature.
We offer individual activities and specialise in Speech and Language, EAL, SEN.
