General information
Spiral Health is a Community Interest Company Limited by Guarantee. We are subject to the same disciplines and rigour as all Limited Companies but have made a commitment to operate responsibly and to re-invest any surpluses made to deliver continuous improvements in the quality of the care that we provide.
In April 2012 we became the first NHS Foundation Trust bed based service to become a Social Enterprise.
The Assets and staff were formally transferred from Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust on the 1st April 2012. We continue to work very closely with the Trust (which is represented on our Board) although we will become more autonomous as our size and range of services grows.
Our Staff are actively involved in the running of Spiral Health either as Non-Executive Directors, within our Strategy Working Groups and as Company Members with voting rights at our AGM (Annual General Meeting)
