The landmark public house located in the heart of Ashdown Forest, close to the acclaimed Ashdown Park Hotel and numerous attractions in the area including Winnie the Pooh bridge, just five minutes from the Hatch Inn, Ashdown Visitor Centre & the llama Farm.

Proprietor, Nicholas Drillsma & partner Sandy Barton have built an enviable reputation over the past eighteen years in producing the highest quality, locally sourced food, complimented by an extensive wine list including ten wines served by the glass. The daily changing menus reflect our customer profile in delivering quality food & service in a cosy, quintessentially English public house. There are two large gardens for summer dining with vistas to the forest.

Our food service times are from 12.00 noon until 2.30pm & from 7.00pm to 9.15pm daily (9.30pm, Friday & Saturday evenings)

Over the years the Hatch Inn has received many accolades, to name but a few, these include, The Good Pub Guide, AA Best Pubs, AA Best Pub Food, Country Life Magazine, Time Out Magazine & the Daily Telegraph, Best of British Pubs.

The Hatch Inn is also synonymous for Television advertising and been the setting for ITV’s drama, Rough Treatment, Vodafone, Channel Four’s, Celebrity Wife Swap, Fifth Gear, Four Weddings, Walking Through History and numerous other television advertising campaigns.
