General information

Our trade counter in Dunchideock, Exeter consists of lighting and sound hire stock, and sales of consumables - lamps, gels, gaffa tapes, scenic paint, flame redardant treatment. Delivery service available.

Showbitz are a well established company set up to hire, sale, install and run events for the entertainment and arts industries. Our valued customers include theatres, drama societies, concert halls, schools, and corporations/local government. Based in Dunchideock, Exeter we support customers in the Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset areas and further afield - even as far as the Edinburgh Fringe Festival!

We hold substantial lighting and sound stock ranging from the simplest profile lantern to the most sophisticated moving light with a range of lighting desks, and audio equipment as well.

We operate our own transport, so delivery service is available.
As well as owning a warehouse space, we have a trade counter where we welcome our customers. We have on our sales shelves, lamps, batteries, colour gel, scenic paint, gaffa tape, pvc tape, fire retardant spray treatment, smoke fluid and so forth.

Our opening hours are Mon-Fri 9.00am-5.00pm (not closed for lunch).

Some of our customers include: Amateur dramatic theatre, professional theatre, LEA & Independent Schools, community groups, community venues, village & parish halls, cinema clubs, bands, solo artistes, vocalists, electricians, shop fitters, wedding planners, corporate events, open days, charity events, product launches, concerts, dance schools, parties, celebrations, TV and film shoots, theme parks, historic buildings, choirs, workshops, art galleries, recording studios, places of worship, churches, marquee hire, themed party and festivals.

We also hire equipment to private individuals.

Equipment: Lighting; profiles, fresnels, floods, LED, Martin MAC moving heads, memory desks, dimmers, Parcan PAR64, PAR56. Power distribution: 13A 15A 16A 32A 63A cable and 3 phase distribution. Sound: Amplifiers, loudspeakers, active loudspeaker systems, mixers, radio / wireless microphones, multicore XLR cable, CD players, Mini-disc players, digital mixers (Yamaha LS9)
