Camps International is a world leader in responsible travel with a unique, community based operating model. They commit year round to their projects, offering responsible travel experiences ranging from 1 to 12 weeks. Camps International has won the ‘Best Volunteering Organisation in the World Responsible Tourism Awards and the Eco-Warrior Award in Kenya. Camps International owns and operates extensive ground operations East Africa, SE Asia and Latin America providing fully supported, safe expeditions. They are located in the heart of rural communities and wildlife conservation areas. Each volunteer camp is built locally, staffed locally, supplied locally and acts as the hub from which Camps International develops and sustains community, wildlife and environmental programmes. They run over 100 varied projects that range from constructing school classrooms and supplying drinking water to wildlife conservation, teaching, reforestation, environmental education and marine workshops. Adventurous activities are incorporated into itineraries and include mountain treks, safari, river journeys, scuba diving and jungle trekking.
