Don’t worry
if you struggled in school. This is mostly practical and we can help fill stuff in. At the end of the 12 weeks you will have had fun, gained qualifications in: First Aid, a Level 2 in Volunteering at an Event, Entry level 3/Level 1 in Employability & Team Work .
You will have also built a bank of work experience that means if you apply for a job in the next year, we can give you a job reference based on your volunteering experience.
Rules for joining in
No one is allowed to make you take part in volunteering. You decide to join in if you want to. If you are on benefits and decide you don't want to join in, that’s ok.
To join in you must be
Unemployed and not in education
Your must be aged 16 to 18
You must show a National Insurance number
or temporary NI number.
A new course starts every 4 to 8 weeks.
