Dorothy Terry House offers luxury one and two bedroomed apartments to people living with Dementia who wish to live an independent life but may need some extra care and support at times.

Ideally situated in Redditch, Dorothy Terry House is within easy reach of the community in Headless Cross and its wide ranging local facilities.

Completed in 2015, the development provides accommodation in 42 self-contained one and two bedroomed apartments arranged over 5 floors.

Each apartment provides:

· Fitted kitchens

· Bathrooms with wet room facilities

· An open plan lounge/diner

· Energy efficient design and specification

· Lift and wheelchair access throughout

· Specialist equipment for more frail or disabled residents

Accommodation is suitable for singles or for couples where either one partner or both might require assistance with daily living, allowing couples to carry on living together but with additional support when needed.

Dorothy Terry House is a jointly run initiative between Heritage Care and Rooftop Housing.

Heritage Care oversee the day to day contact with residents and provide:

· Daily contact with people

· Assistance to access communal facilities, engagement and care planning

· Support to help people manage medication

· Advice on benefits, security & safety and also tenancy related support

· Support with daily living i.e. arranging appointments, GP visits

· Emergency support if required

· Liaison with repair services and contractors

Heritage Care also provide 24/7 additional care and support to those that may need it. This extra care can be purchased by the individual directly or accessed through council funding.
