Thoresby Courtyard is within Thoresby Park which is in the heart of Nottinghamshire, is a lovely place to visit all year round with a range of attractions for all of the family no matter how young or old.

Our extensive grounds cover over 1000 acres of rich unspoilt English countryside, with a range of facilities and attractions open to the public all year round. Opening times are from 10.30am until 5.00pm, admission is free, plenty of also free car parking and there is disabled access.

Whether you are visiting to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, interested in our Art and Crafts Gallery, planning a wedding or special occasion, staging an outdoor event, there is something for everyone.

Visit our Victorian Courtyard and you'll find working crafts people, shops, licensed cafe and the acclaimed Gallery featuring regional, national and international artists.

Shopping at Thoresby Courtyard is a unique experience with precious jewellery from David Fowkes, Hot glass blowing by Ingrid Pears, materials to make your own crafts at Craft corner, Homewares from Barton Dawes, exquisite fashions from Hazel Walker. Relax over lunch at The Bay Tree Cafe leaving enough time to browse in the Thoresby Farm Shop and take home some delicious locally produced meats and products including Thoresby Longhorn beef and venison, reared on our own Estate.

*David Fowkes Jewellery*

The Old Coach House provides the perfect setting for an open plan gallery, where it’s possible to browse, to make a purchase or simply watch jewellery in the making in the adjoining workshop. Much of David’s work centres around bold geometric gemstones and precious mixed metals. Pieces are available for immediate sale or you might want to engage in a private commission. (Closed on Mondays except Bank holidays)

*The Bay Tree Café*

*Ingrid Pears Hot Glass Studio*

Contemporary blown glass gallery and workshop selling designer made bespoke glass items. All glass on sale can be seen being made on the premises, from perfumes bottles, vases to glass art. Commissions undertaken and courses in glass making available for all levels of experience. (Closed Mondays and Fridays)

*Thoresby Farm Shop*

Visit the Thoresby Farm Shop for a variety of locally sourced meats including game from the Thoresby Estate along with Thoresby reared Long Horn Beef.

The farm shop contains a variety of other produce including cheeses, oils, hot & cold meats, pies and sausage rolls.. New products are being introduced all the time.

Sherwood Game is open 6 days a week (closed Tuesday) from 10am -4 pm with the earlier closing time of 2pm on a Monday and Friday.

Hawks of Steele is a family owned and run business which offers Falconry experiences on the grounds at Thoresby.

The family have had the pleasure of working with Birds of prey for over 30 years and their passion is to give other people the chance to experience the wonders of these beautiful birds.

Thoresby Gallery was originally established in 1992 as a space in which to show the Pierrepont Collection. Over the years it has evolved into a busy gallery with an eclectic calendar of exhibitions. Thoresby Courtyard welcomes 80,000 visitors a year. Open six days a week 10.30 – 4.00 the gallery always has something interesting to engage a wide audience. Thoresby Gallery’s Open Exhibitions have been encouraging local artists and providing a beautiful space in which to exhibit since the early days and now Thoresby are seeking to include all artists, both professional and amateur working in the area with regular opportunities to get involved.
