With two shops in Derbyshire, Equatorial is THE go-to place for fabulously funky, fair trade clothing, bags, trinkets, accessories, embroideries and loads more! We travel the world to bring you the best in ethnic chic. With our friendly staff, chilled atmosphere and great music, this is a fun shopping trip for all; the toddlers, tiddlers, grannies and grandpas, wide awake students, weary mums and dads, glammed up shoppers, muddy walkers, the dog, the cat and the kitchen sink! First time venturers of the shop will often describe us as a 'tardis' or 'alladdins cave'... Why not come and see for yourself!

So, you fancy buying from Equatorial online? Fab! Just so you know, the site is an extension of the shops, so sometimes lines may sell out in certain sizes and colours, but we will directly contact you if there is any problems with your order.
Feel free to call us direct, but remember.. these are shops that follow the great old tradition of festival trading, so we never get out of bed early!

Our Fair Trade travel agency - Equatorial Travel, specialises in small group tours (usually with a max. of 10 people) and also tailor made tours, aiming to attract like minded souls, who are looking to experience the real country rather than a generic sterilised tourist version. Our trips are designed for people of all ages. We are specially experienced in running family trips, with a diverse tour program ranging from extended walking trips to 4x4 trips to arts and crafts, music and photography tours. Currently we are running tours in South Morocco, Ecuador and Rajasthan India. Our aim is to take you to places and to meet communities that you would otherwise be unable to discover by yourselves, and by running our trips with a fair trade ethos, our tours have been designed and led by guides who are local the region. Their knowledge and enthusiasm is an integral part of any trip, and our aim - as well as to give you the trip of a lifetime - is to give you a true understanding of the culture of the area travelled.
