Workways+

General information

Workways tackles the barriers that prevent individuals from finding employment. The project provides support with job searching, CVs, application forms, interview skills, telephone techniques and access to training. Participants are also matched with local businesses, helping them gain the vital experience needed to find long term employment.

Led by Neath Port Talbot Council in collaboration with Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion and City and County of Swansea, the Workways + project is backed with £9 million from the European Social Fund through the Welsh Government.

Mae Gweithffyrdd yn mynd i'r afael â'r rhwystrau sy'n atal unigolion rhag cael swydd. Mae'r prosiect yn rhoi cefnogaeth wrth chwilio am swyddi, llunio CVs, llenwi ffurflenni cais, sgiliau cyfweliad, technegau siarad ar y ffôn, mynediad i gyfleoedd gwirfoddoli ac ennill cymwysterau. Mae cyfranogwyr hefyd yn cael eu lleoli gyda busnesau lleol, sy'n eu helpu i gael y profiad angenrheidiol i gael swydd tymor hir.

Dan arweiniad Cyngor Castell-nedd Port Talbot ar y cyd â Chyngor Sir Gâr, Cyngor Sir Penfro a Dinas a Sir Abertawe, mae prosiect Gweithffyrdd y De-orllewin yn derbyn £17.4 miliwn o Gronfa Gymdeithasol Ewrop drwy Lywodraeth Cymru.
