Isle of Arran Heritage Museum Company Information
General information
The Isle of Arran Heritage Museum was founded in 1976 (open to the public in 1979). Originally the site of a small school, buildings were a croft and smiddy including a farmhouse, cottage, bothy, milkhouse, laundry and harness room. The exhibits reflect the social history, archaeology and geology of this beautiful island.
There is an extensive archives and also a very busy family history/geneology section.
