Enjoy a relaxing break in the heart of Washington at The Victoria Inn. The inn is ran by Chris and Lynda who have 35 years of experience working in the hospitality trade. They took over The Victoria Inn 15 years ago and converted it from a pub into a bed & breakfast in 2006. Since then, the inn has attracted guests from all corners of the world, keen to discover all that North East England has to offer.

The Victoria Inn has five en-suite guestrooms – all twin beds rooms – and two family rooms that are perfect for a break away with the kids! All our guestrooms have the following facilities:

•Tea and coffee making facilities

Private Functions

Come to The Victoria Inn for your next special occasion. There is no hire charge and we have three rooms for you to choose from. We offer an optional buffet service, or you can arrange your own catering. Take advantage of our Book and Cook service with our large double barbeque in the garden. You book and bring your own food to cook for your guests. Then we tidy up after!

Travel Information

We are conveniently located next to a main bus route, giving you access to all of the top tourist attractions of the North East. The Victoria Inn is a two-minute drive from junction 64 of the A1 motorway and a six-minute drive from the A19 turn-off next to the Nissan car factory.

You’re also just a short drive away from these major locations:
•15 minutes to both Sunderland and Newcastle city centres
•10 minutes to Chester-le-street
•20 minutes to Durham city centre
•20 minutes to Newcastle Airport
•15 minutes to Gateshead Metro Centre
