Coldharbour London

General information

Opening in June 2011, Coldharbour London is one of South East London’s Premier Spaces for Contemporary Art, producing and hosting a diverse programme of exhibitions. Coldharbour London is a 15,000 square foot former print factory, built in the 1960’s, that’s been converted into a multifunctional gallery space and artist studio in Camberwell. It’s situated on Southwell Street just off Coldharbour Lane, its red brick structure and art deco entrance highlighted by the Victorian houses lining the street outside.

Coldharbour London is a professionally managed exhibition space for all art mediums. Obtaining the character and feel of its former industrial use, the 3500 sq ft exhibition space naturally lends itself to showcasing contemporary art as well as being a great open space for film and photography shoots. There is an impressive display window facing directly onto the street with maximum visibility. The gallery boasts a large, high ceilinged, flexible, open plan space, ideal for both two- and three-dimensional work. Throughout the year the space will be available to rent.

The studios at Coldharbour London are located on the top two floors following an intricate labyrinth of winding hallways each room has its own feel. A harmony of lofty style rooms, light flooded studios with city views , seemingly never ending corridors lead you into the high ceilinged sky lit Sculptor Hall. Resident artists include the talented sculptor Molly Symth and well known painter Dan McDermott to name a few. Our aim is to support our resident artists through open studios, exhibitions and online presence.
