Kingsmills thatched farm cottage has been the residence of the McReynolds family since 1743. The cottage is situated in the heart of rural Mid-Ulster.
In 1798 members of the United Irishmen held meetings in the roofspace of the thatched cottage, in a room called the darkroom, and Eliza McReynolds married Henry Joy McCracken's brother who was also a prominent member of the United Irishmen.
Our cottages are unique in style and are in close proximity to the Sperrin Mountains and Lough Neagh, making Kingsmills Cottages the perfect location for either a quiet relaxed holiday. The more adventurous can enjoy hillwalking, fishing, golf or a trip to The Jungle in nearby Moneymore.
