Victorian Plumbing was founded in 1999 by George and his son Mark. Back then our family-run business specialised in refurbishing old Victorian baths and traditional bathroom products for exclusive bathroom showrooms in London, UK, until Mark led the decision to move into Internet retailing. This allowed the business to offer both refurbished and new reproduction bathroom products to the whole of the UK.

On 27th September 2000 we started trading as Victorian Plumbing Ltd and began selling a wider range of bathroom products through victorianplumbing.co.uk. Our headquarters were based in Formby, Merseyside, and in 2005 Mark became a director of the business.

In the early years, the business operated with less than ten members of staff. The team was led by Mark, helped by his brother Neil and consisted of a handful of office and sales staff.

Today, Victorian Plumbing remains an independent, family-run business and we still operate from the same location in Formby. Here you can find our call center and bathroom showroom. There is a 109,000 square foot warehouse and contact centre in Skelmersdale. George has now stepped down as a director and his other son Neil joined Mark as director in 2011. Our company now employs over 200 members of staff throughout the company as of March 2016.

In January 2014 we expanded into the European and Scandinavian market, adding a version of our website in eight different languages. These included German, Spanish, French, Swedish, Dutch, Norwegian and Polish languages.

On 5 December 2015 we signed a deal with NBC Universal to release a Downton Abbey inspired bathroom range. Victorian Plumbing have also been mentioned in the news for selling other quirky bathroom products including a bicycle with an Arcade bathroom sink for a seat.

We moved into a new 5,000 square foot bathroom showroom on 4 February 2016 next door to our HQ. The new showroom allows for click and collect orders at Formby Business Park, Merseyside.
