The Old Coach House

General information

The Old Coach House is a lovely, newly refurbished Holiday Cottage with lots of original features in an excellent location. It is ideally situated for visiting West London including Hampton Court Palace and not least Twickenham Rugby, Stadium (Rugby World Cup 2015!) and is only 1 hour by car to the South Coast of England.

Hampton Village can be easily reached by road via the M25 and Heathrow Airport is just 20 minutes and Gatwick Airport 45 minutes.

Within a short driving distance you can visit historic Richmond Upon Thames for excellent shopping, wonderful restaurants and enjoy walking in Richmond Park and watching the wildlife in their natural habitat. The deer and wild birds are particularly magnificent and can be seen in the nearby Royal Parks throughout the year. Bushy Park is just steps from the cottage and boasts beautiful plantations and enclosures, historic water gardens and boating ponds in fantastic natural surroundings.

There are excellent opportunities to browse in the many antique and curiosity shops situated adjacent to Hampton Court Palace, followed by a coffee break or lunch in the eclectic mix of fashionable cafes, restaurants and pubs.

There are also many National Trust properties, RHS Gardens, historic houses and homes, churches and villages that will provide a wide variety of interest and activities for you to enjoy during your stay in the cottage with easy access by car. Locally, there is a nine hole golf club, David Lloyd Gym and Spa, Virgin Gym and bicycle hire and local public tennis courts are available in Hampton Village too.

Many seasonal events take place right on the doorstep including the Hampton Court Music Festival, Palace Ghost Tours and Ice Skating at Christmas, Summer and Spring Fayres and Cultural Exhibitions.

Although of course if you prefer, you can always simply just switch off from the world and enjoy walking in the Royal Parks and relaxing in the peaceful cottage environment with your friends and family.
