The Kent Karate Schools was founded in Ashford, Kent by Joe Ellis in July 1983 and offers Tsuyoi Ryu, an authentic Japanese style of karate and is a full and founder member of the NAKMAS National Governing Body (www.nakmas.org.uk). Nationally registered and fully qualified, black belts: Shihan Joe Ellis 7th Dan, Shihan Mick Elcombe 5th Dan, Shihan Sandra Ellis 5th Dan, Sensei Mathew Velvick 4th Dan, Sensei Steve Keeler 4th Dan, Sensei Gavin Finn 4th Dan, Senpai Joshua Traylor 2nd Dan,Senpai Daniel Congerton 1st Dan, Senpai Cameron Cage 1st Dan and Senpai Connor Velvick 1st Dan.
