General information

Aikido is a defensive 'martial art' where we aim to train the mind as much as the body or purely techniques. Students work together to learn movement, relaxation, coordination and confidence through a series of defensive movements. It is open to people of all ages and abilities and is both a useful tool for life and for fun. Race, creed, colour, gender, size, ability or religious belief play no part in our art, or in our club, so why not come along and give it a try? We are lucky enough to have a very friendly bunch of people in the club and we always welcome newcomers. Similarly, anyone who is a member of the Ki Federation is always more than welcome to come along and take a class at any time. Always check the times first as occasionally we do have to give way to other commitments of the hall, but generally there is a children's class at 2pm, a high grade (brown belt and above) at 2.45pm and a general class at 4-6pm.
