PQA is a weekend performing arts academy providing tuition for children and young people from 4-18 years. Students spend three hours with us, rotating through hour-long sessions in comedy & drama, musical theatre and film & television. Students are split into groups according to their age and are taught by specialist teachers.

At the core of our philosophy is a belief that our students should really enjoy their time with us. Our modules are all about students having fun as we build their confidence and self-esteem, expand their imaginations and they learn valuable skills essential for everyday life. Above all, we encourage our students to be amazing, just by being themselves.

The PQA model has been put together by people who work professionally in the performing arts, entertainment industry and education sector. It means our classes deliver high educational value combined with realistic industry practice and our students get the best possible experience.

Your local Academy is run by an experienced, dedicated professional who has proven to us they have the passion, drive and dedication to deliver a really different performing arts education. All our staff undergo a rigorous recruitment procedure which naturally includes an enhanced CRB check and we have a stringent set of minimum standards that our teaching staff must reach before they can work for us.

We provide ongoing training for our staff, who are also able to get inspiration from our unique online resource base as well as help and advice from our Creative Directors. We like our staff to be working at the top of their game so they can help your children reach the top of theirs.

Finally, Pauline Quirke is actively involved in all aspects of the Academies and lends her considerable experience from many years in the business to our teaching modules as well as making personal visits to the Academies in-between her professional engagements. It is very much her vision and ethos that drives what we do.
