General information

tierraventura is a small ecotourism company that has been hiking, touring, trekking, swimming and wandering around in Oaxaca since 1999.

The state of Oaxaca has deep pre-Hispanic roots and a wide variety of amazing landscapes in different ecosystems. Yet there are many places here that tourists rarely visit.

We specialize in trips to these places. We offer day trips and tours of up to three weeks.

Our intention is to show you the “real” Mexico, connecting culture with nature.

Among the tours we offer are hikes from village-to-village high in the mountains, trips to see crocodiles and sea turtles at the beach and visits to healers who use ancient traditional healing methods.

We are working to develop a sustainable tourism. One that brings economic resources to small communities and gives you the opportunity to discover Mexico in a different way, off the beaten trail.
