From start to finish, we believe in making the process straightforward for all our clients starting with a free no-obligation quote. Keith Hartshorne will visit you in the comfort of your own home or business, at a time that suits you, armed with a car full of leather & fabric samples, keeping in mind that we have a large selection in-store from some of New Zealand’s leading fabric houses and tanneries.
Once you have made your fabric selection, it is ordered and a booking date is made. Steve McDonald will contact you to make arrangements with regards to pick up. We have a 5-7 day turnaround time as we understand that it is difficult to be without furniture to sit on.
From the time your furniture enters our factory it goes through a meticulous routine. The tradesman allocated to your job is stripping the furniture down to its framework, where it is examined thoroughly to ensure the structure is sound. Springs and webbings are checked and replaced accordingly as this will ensure the comfort of your suite. Often foams are replaced because as they age, they compress and sag. From here, all foams are fibre wrapped which adds to the true smoothness and feeling of comfort.
The final stage of the metamorphosis begins. The reupholsterer begins to apply your fabric or leather to your furniture with meticulous precision. An incredible amount of pride is evident during this process as they take pleasure in reproducing and presenting you furniture to its original former glory.
