Geoff McNelly and his team at Premier Design offer a total design and draughting service for your building needs. If you come to us with your own ideas we do not push OUR ideas for YOUR building project but rather give you the guidance to achieve the building that best suits your requirements. We are more than happy to help with the conceptual design if you are in need of inspiration!

We guarantee you a hassle free process in obtaining your Building Consent because our documentation contains all the necessary drawings, specifications, bracing calculations etc to demonstrate compliance with the Building Code. We are able to undertake the specific designs that you may require such as septic tank systems, structural engineering, foundation design and fire design.

We carry out all forms of architectural design and draughting work and specialise in all residential work from small additions to large homes and take great pride in designing additions to blend in with the existing. We also undertake the design and drawings for commercial buildings including renovations and alterations and the design and drawings for all types of farm buildings.

Premier Design designs with future proofing on their minds; less maintenance, newer products, natural materials, increased use of solar energy, and even off grid designs to ensure your building is both suited to its surrounding environment both now and meets your needs both now and in the future.

We can produce 3D CAD views to take you on a tour around your house design and construct 3D scale models.

In addition to architectural design and draughting, we can offer you a full service of reports from pre-purchase inspections, through problem solving and maintenance surveys, to Building Act compliance inspections and reports.

Premier Design also offers basic designs to match kitset prices should a “draughting only” service be required.

Geoff McNelly, principal and owner of Premier Design has over 7 years experience in the areas of residential, multi-unit residential, commercial and industrial design. Geoff’s boutique architectural design business “Premier Design” services homeowners, developers and business owners.
With over 7 years in architectural design Geoff’s work is adaptable and focused on meeting the needs of the client. Listening to the clients brief, taking into account their unique needs and personalities naturally yields the best possible outcome whatever the project in question.
Geoff is committed to energy efficient and sustainable building principles and whilst moderated by his technical insight into construction his main focus remains on producing a creative, solution focused and BUILDABLE design. Premier Design’s work ethos is to ensure that the teams collective design abilities remain relevant to both today’s and tomorrow’s world.
Geoff predominantly works in the Wairarapa however he has also done work in Great Barrier Island, Manawatu, Wellington, etc and will continue to take on projects throughout New Zealand as and when required.
