Technology Investment Network

General information

Technology Investment Network (TIN) is a private company established by Greg Shanahan in 1999 with a simple mission: to help facilitate the growth of the technology sector in New Zealand.

TIN seeks to achieve this goal through a range of endeavours: from the creation of networking events and resources for the high-tech sector – including the TIN100 Report – through to hands-on business management.

In 2000, TIN hosted its first Technology Investment Forum at the time of the first successful defence of the America’s Cup in Auckland. Speakers at this event included many luminaries from Silicon Valley who were in New Zealand at the time. Since that first event, TIN has sought to build a coherent network of this country’s best technology businesses, increasingly focused around the TIN100 Report. This year we are holding the first TIN Shed meetings for CEO’s of the fastest growing hi-tech companies.

This will be the TIN100 Report’s tenth year of publication, and it is now available in both hard copy and electronic format. What started as a 56-page document in 2005 has grown to become a 132-page report, widely used as a reference by business leaders, government, researchers and investors.
