Founded in 2007, Drum Shop Kokyo is your top source for Taiko Drums and traditional Japanese performing arts goods. Our customers include professionals, amateurs, student groups, and drumming enthusiasts. We are located in Narita, home of the annual Narita Taiko Festival.
Drum Shop Kokyo was originally established as a showroom for Kawada Taiko (http://www.kawadataiko.com) in 2005, and operates as an independent dealer as of 2007. The President of Kokyo is a relative of Hisayoshi Kawada, founder of Kawada Taiko, ensuring a close family relationship that we share with all of our customers.
