大阪府豊中市の服部緑地の一角、約3万6千㎡の敷地内に、北は岩手・南部の曲家から南は鹿児島・奄美大島の高倉まで12棟の民家を集めています。各民家とも江戸時代(17～18世紀)の建築で地方固有の風土・習慣から生まれる様式を色濃く残しています。
