当店は慶応二年（1866年）長崎市万屋町（現在は浜町）で吉田宗吉が「吉宗」を屋号として、茶碗むし・蒸寿し専門の店を開業したのが始まりです。食文化豊かな長崎ではぐぐまれた当店の茶碗むし・蒸寿しは吟味された材料と独特の手法で調整し、その素朴な味はお客様に庶民の味として、百四拾有余年親しまれております。
