中華書局於1912年在上海成立，1927年設立香港分局。1988年重新註冊為「中華書局（香港）有限公司」，並成為聯合出版（集團）有限公司屬下重要成員機構。作為一家綜合性及多元化的文化出版機構，香港中華書局始終秉承「弘揚中華文化，普及民智教育」的文化理念，用現代化的手段和方式演繹和傳遞中華優秀文化，已成為香港最有影響力的華文出版社及主要連鎖書店之一。
CHUNG HWA BOOK was founded in Shanghai in 1912. Its Hong Kong branch was established in 1927. In 1988 it was incorporated as CHUNG HWA BOOK CO., (H.K.) LTD., and a subsidiary of SINO UNITED PUBLISHING (HOLDINGS) LIMITED.

CHUNG HWA BOOK CO., (H.K.) LTD. has been renowned as a publisher of Chinese art, culture and history, classical works of literature, essays on contemporary China, dictionaries and reference books. In recent years our focused publications include localized culture and history, psychological aspects, as well as children’s books.
