Paulsons started his journey with Sam Paul Educational Trust. With a rich experience in the field of education, the trust has promoted a number of educational institutions in and around Pondicherry. Christ College of Engineering and Technology, Dr. S.J.S Paul Memorial College of Engineering and Technology, Stansford International and Billabong International are a few to name.

The story was not going to be limited to just educational institutions.

Paulsons has introduced various international brands in the city of Chennai over the last few years. Below is a brief introduction of the few brands owned and operated by the Pauls Group.

Paulsons is the company that aims at representing fashion and lifestyle at global standards.
The group began with a franchise of a European bistro concept outlet that could cater to people of possibly all age groups, called Casa Picola in 2005, which gained tremendous popularity in Chennai. Providing thorough excellence in quality, food, management and ambience, they branched out with one of its kind delivery restaurant called Dawn & Dusk that caters to 24hrs delivery of a variety of cuisines.

In 2010, Toni&Guy - the world’s #1 Hairdressing brand was launched in Chennai by Paulsons. We are currently 58 stores strong. The group also own the Master Franchisee for Essensuals, a diffusion brand of Toni&Guy.

The company’s association with premium brands was strengthened by the inclusion of Haagen Dazs franchise. Haagen Dazs is one of the most premium brands in the ince cream deserts category globally. Paulsons had taken a franchise of Haagen Dazs and established the first flagship High Street Shop at Khader Nawaz Khan Road, Chennai on the 17th of January 2013. The constant endeavour in maintaining the brand and giving customer the best experience yielded huge appreciation and acceptance from the people of Chennai. It also resulted in the success of the brand and the franchise which paved way for the second outlet in Chennai at Phoenix. The Phoenix store is only the second Island restaurant in the world for Haagen Dazs designed on the sunshine model is touted to be the best performing outlet in the entire country.

Over a period of a few months Paulsons also launched home grown brands like Jonahs, Slam Fitness, Chakra Urban Spa and Provoke Lifestyle Magazine.

The group has also opened a chain of hotels called Anbu Park Group of Hotels in Villupuram and Trichy. Paulsons also runs the Ponnusamy Restaurants out of Chennai. We currently operate the Ponnusamy restaurants in Villpuram and Trichy and opening shortly in Salem and Pondicherry.
Jonahs is a brand which is very close to Sam’s heart.

The journey of a father and son over their love for people, food, travel and adventure is what began Jonah’s. Jonahs Bistro is looking at expanding all over India and abroad. The chronicles of Jonahs started with Jonahs Bistro in Besant Nagar specializing in European Cuisine. Jonah then travelled to Japan in Phoenix Mall with the reputed brand Momoyama under the tag line Jonahs goes to Japan, he later met Chef Willi at Poes Garden for a Tuscan Menu and now going to Malabar Coast with Chef Anand. Needless to say Jonah will be travelling a lot and connecting people over food.

Slam, a lifestyle and fitness studio located on Chamiers Road is the brainchild of Sam Paul. The Concept Gym features top notch equipment, a studio, a spa and a salon. The fitness mantra of SLAM is to keep programs simple, timeless and results based.

The Paulsons group also presides over Chaitanya Rao Couture, German Doner Kebab and Provoke Lifestyle Magazine.

The latest feather in our cap is the film production and distribution house, ‘Paulsons Media Private Limited’. The media house aims at producing top notch movies that are of value to the society. Paulsons Media is debuting into the Tamil Film Industry with the movie ‘Night Show’ featuring Sathyaraj in the lead.
